Award-winning artist Marlene Creates found over 80 Newfoundland terms for ice and snow formations in preparing this outstanding photo and video exhibit.

“I love the sound of the words in the ear and the feel of them on the tongue, and their sonic relationship with the terrain.
Many of them would have been in the mouths of my Newfoundland ancestors.”
