Heather Bliss

Heather Bliss is a linguist and post-doctoral fellow at the University of
Victoria. She received her BA (Honours) and MA from the University of
Calgary, and her PhD from the University of British Columbia. Since 2003,
she has been working with members of the Siksikį and Kainįį nations of
Southern Alberta on Blackfoot language documentation.  To the Canadian
Language Museum, Heather brings experience working in and with First Nations
communities, language documentation, analysis, and archival skills, and an
understanding of and appreciation for linguistic and cultural diversity.
